Service Install

Hello 

 I was in a conversation with a xfinity 3rd party represenative about services needed at my home for faster internet. I decided to purchase my own equipment. He gave me descriptions on what to order and I did, 2 High speed routers and a modem. The technician arrived for install on Thursday the 12th. His first statement after hello was the equipment i was told to purchase was useless. So now all has to be returned minus the shipping costs I paid and will lose because of your rep. On install day 2 hours after the tech left the whole system went down including phone service. I chatted, phoned and got no help. The next morning a TECH showed up and fixed the issue outside(short circuit on line) an it appears i've been charged $70 for emergency service. Seriously ? My WIFI internet has since gone down several times. The speed i purchased doesn't seem available in the home and I was never told of a 300gb cap. I still have 30 days to cancel the 2 year commitment right ? and i'm considering it. How can I escalate these issues ? Can anything be done about the lost shipping costs ? I'm very frustrated so far. I feel like i made a big mistake switching carriers. I also still do not have my old phone number after over a week's time.
