Changed Modems and Now modem speed is last than half what a pay for

I upgraded my Modem and now I receive speeds less than half of what I Pay for when connected directly to modem from laptop.

I believe support needs to check the provisioning.   The auto provisioning doesn't always configure correctly.  

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Comcast has great products, that being said I feel they tell some misguided untruthes in their advertising.  Competition is fierce and unpredictable, all of us "middle(laughable) income", in reality live paycheck to paycheck, just trying to survive.  Peoples time is valluable, we must work etc. Comcast has gotten so HUGE, That most of us cannot deal with a conglomerant that does not stay consistant with all it's customer base, and this problem is not just confined to this forum.

When I try to click 'Manage Plan' to see what bundles are available for current customers, I am always met with the following message:

 

We're sorry, it looks like you'll need some help completing your order.

Please call us at 1-877-680-7173 and we can help.

 

I'm not interested in calling the 877 number and have the rep upsell me to some $250/m plan I really don't want. I'd rather have the ability to look at what's available on my own and make the decision. Is anyone able to assist with getting beyond this message?

No email and my phone number doesn't match the account I set up yesterday?

I recently paid $100 deposit yesterday I got the written confirmation number down the service representative said I would get an email stating what my phone number would be because I'm getting internet phone so far no email and when I called 1 800 Comcast it says my phone number does not match any account I'm very confused!

Does anyone really think that Comcast/Xfinity give a flying leap about your concerns or issues.......all they want is your money.

Every one of these forums and the rediculous feedback requests are all about the service PEOPLE that you speak with, and never about the real deal.

The service, the cost, the increases, the additional fees, I could go on but I'm already irritated.

COMCAST/XFINITY a true money sponge, now theres a advertising feature that tells the truth.

Do you only have TV, or TV+Internet? What devices do you have? (cable boxes, rented Comcast gateway?) If you don't need phone, you can look into one of the Double Play packages, depending on what TV service you have (Starter or Preferred.)

Im having the exact same issue. They increased my monthly bill over $35 each month and I have all of this unneccessary service included in this plan that I dont need. I spent almost 45 minutes in a chat box last week with some moron that offered  me a plan for $149 per month but when I asked to see what the add ons would total it was $90 more. Very sneeky. Made it look like he was helping me and then pulled this junk. Ive also learned that the Blast internet that I've been paying for has had speeds DECREASED without notice. I just want a less expensive plan with the options that I actually use. I do met the Call Customer Service. I like you do not have 2 hours to spend on the phone to get no where. I'm looking into streaming options. Good luck to you. Please post if you find a way to lower your monthly rate.

Pedestal install?

Hi, I live in a subdivision that is one year old and my house is brand new. There is no pedestal for the technician to hook up to. There are pedestals at the other end of the street where the houses are about 6 months newer. The technician dis not know how to help, the person on the phone said that xfinity does not do that part and it was up to the city to get them in. But reading posts on this forum it looks like they communicate with the "construction" department and that's how it is done. How can I get someone to set this up?

robinssrid2, EG is correct. If the outlet isn't activated, the cables would be useless. A tech can activate the outlet or the pole if necessary.
